Dental Implants in the East Village, NYC

A dental implant is a titanium post that takes the place of a missing tooth’s root, supporting a crown, bridge, or full arch that looks, feels, and works like natural teeth. I’m Dr. Nina Izhaky — we’ve placed and restored implants at 54 Warren Street since 2007, all in-house and planned in 3D, about fifteen minutes from the East Village. Old sports injury, a tooth that never survived its root canal, a gap you’ve hidden for years — start with an evaluation and get straight answers. Call (212) 561-5303.

From Dr. Izhaky

That gap you’ve been hiding? Let’s just fix it.

East Village patients tend to be younger, and younger patients with missing teeth usually have a story: a bike crash on 1st Avenue in their twenties, a tooth that cracked years ago and finally gave up, a root canal from college that didn’t hold. They’ve spent years smiling a certain way, avoiding photos from one side, chewing carefully. It becomes background noise — until it doesn’t.

Here’s what I want you to know: a single implant is one of the most straightforward things we do, and the result doesn’t look like dentistry — it looks like you, with all your teeth. One evaluation, one 3D scan, and you’ll know exactly what it takes. Stop working around the gap and come get it handled.

What can implants replace for you?

From one tooth to a full arch — your 3D evaluation determines which option your bone and bite support.

Single-tooth implant

The classic fix for one missing tooth — a post, an abutment, a crown. It fills the gap without involving the teeth next to it, and you clean it like a natural tooth.

Implant bridge

When several teeth in a row are gone, implants anchor a fixed bridge. More stable than a removable partial, and no reshaping of healthy teeth.

Full-arch implants

Four or more implants carrying a complete fixed arch. For patients facing full extractions or tired of dentures — qualifying cases leave with fixed teeth the same day.

How it works, start to finish

Everything happens at 54 Warren Street — the same team from evaluation to final teeth.

01

Honest evaluation

We start with your story and a 3D CBCT scan. If your tooth can be saved, we’ll say so — implants are the best replacement, but your own tooth comes first.

02

Exact plan and price

Digital surgical planning, a clear timeline, and your exact price with financing options. No surprises later.

03

Placement day

Local anesthesia (full anesthesia with an anesthesiologist for larger cases). Most patients tell us afterward it was far easier than they’d built it up to be.

04

Your final teeth

After integration, the custom restoration is fitted and refined — bite, comfort, looks, and how easy it is to keep clean.

Getting to us from the East Village

From Astor Place or St. Mark’s, take the 6 to 14th St–Union Square, then the 4, 5, or 6 downtown to Fulton Street — then a short walk west to 54 Warren Street, between Church Street and Broadway. About fifteen minutes door to door. From Alphabet City, the L to 14th Street plus a quick cab works well too.

Implant treatment means a few visits over a few months — close enough that follow-ups fit around your life, not the other way around.

“If the tooth is no longer there and the bone is good, the replacement process is actually very uneventful — very little recovery at all. What we hear from our patients is how unremarkable the procedure was. They’re surprised, and we’re thankful for their appreciation.”

Dental implant questions, answered

01I lost a tooth years ago in an accident — can I still get an implant?

Usually, yes. Old injuries are one of the most common reasons people get implants. A 3D scan shows what your bone looks like now — if grafting is needed to rebuild it, we’ll tell you exactly that at your evaluation.

02How long does the whole implant process take?

It varies: a straightforward single implant is typically a few visits over a few months, since the bone needs time to integrate. Complex cases take longer. You’ll get a real timeline — for your mouth, not a generic one — at your evaluation.

03Will people be able to tell it’s an implant?

No — that’s the point. The crown is custom-matched to your natural teeth. For a front tooth, we pay special attention to shape and translucency so it blends in completely.

04How much do dental implants cost?

It depends on the number of implants, the restoration type, and whether grafting is needed. We don’t quote blind: your evaluation ends with an exact price and financing options, in writing, before you decide anything.

05Is the surgery painful?

Most patients are surprised how manageable it is — local anesthesia for the procedure, and straightforward aftercare. For bigger cases, full anesthesia with an anesthesiologist is available.

06How do I get to you from the East Village?

Take the 6 from Astor Place to 14th St–Union Square, then the 4, 5, or 6 downtown to Fulton Street — we’re a short walk west at 54 Warren St. About 15 minutes door to door.
